Three Reasons it’s Important to Have a Professional Headshot for Business That You Love
1) You’ll be happier to look at your online profile with a better professional business headshot taken of you. Confidence is amazing and it starts with you and your online you these days. So many times I’m talking with someone and they say to me, “I never look good in pictures so I don’t share this with anyone.” When in fact, today is ALL about being personal and showing yourself!
2) Other professional business people will look at your headshot and base an opinion about you solely on your projected image (i.e. your professional headshot!) Although we’d like to think all business professionals will read your profile and then make a judgment, many of them will base their opinion on visuals and many times it’s completely intrinsic. Having an updated headshot that shows your best side and best foot forward with great lighting with an authentic smile goes a LONG WAY!!
3) You’re not getting any younger. In all honesty, it’s always funny to meet someone in person and they look like their online business profile’s older self! How many times have you met someone after seeing their professional business signature or LinkedIn profile then they look totally different in person. Happens so frequently it’s amazing. Don’t be one of these people and make sure to update your profile every two years or so.
